In 2009 the project for the construction of the largest wind farm in Europe started. The project involved the construction of roads and the construction of 139 wind foundations in Dobrogea, Fantanele commune.
The initial number of 139 wind turbines has been expanded by the customer by another 101. The latter were built in the village of Cogealac. At the end of 2013 the two wind farms were fully operational.
